Anatol Lieven is a British author, journalist, and policy analyst. He is a visiting professor at King’s College London and a senior fellow at the New America Foundation in Washington, DC. He is also the director of the Eurasia Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Lieven has written extensively on Russia, the former Soviet Union, and US political culture. He has also worked as a journalist, covering South Asia, the former Soviet Union, and Eastern Europe.
